I once saw a photo on instagram of a man hugging a lion. And the caption was about animal abuse. The photo was of Oleg Zubkov, the Director of the Park in Crimea. 10 minutes later, I was talking to him on the phone and told him that I wanted to fly in and make a small film about lions and tigers, provided that there would be no mention of problems or politics in it. Only animals and their life. To which I received consent and a week later I flew to the shooting with my friend Dasha. Oleg could not find us in his own Park for 2 days because of our constant movement, and we also liked to get out of the Park, climbing over the fence at 5 am to shoot the dawn, or climb to the 10-meter letters, just because we wanted to.

На четвертый день мы вместе с Олегом и Дашей отправились на сам сафари. К слову у Даши именно в этот день было день рождение, с чем её сердечно и поздравляю (сделать селфи со львом - как вам?).

Этот день стал для меня одним из самых запоминающихся в жизни. Могу сказать что спокойнее я себя не чувствовал никогда, в тот момент, когда смотрел в глаза льву соприкоснувшись с ним лбами. Были моменты и пугающие моменты, но это тогда, когда я начал снимать чересчур далеко от Олега и львы почувствовали это.
